[0] => This case report highlights a rare presentation of a 19-year-old individual with no history of trauma, presenting with symptoms suggestive of osteoid osteoma. Imaging studies initially indicated features consistent with osteoid osteoma on computed tomography scan (CT). However, further evaluation using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed characteristics more indicative of a fatigue fracture of the tibia. The patient was subsequently immobilized using a cast for six weeks, resulting in a favorable outcome with fracture consolidation. This case underscores the importance of comprehensive imaging modalities and most importantly clinical examination in accurately diagnosing and managing uncommon presentations of skeletal pathology, particularly in young individuals without significant trauma history.
