liposarcomas are among the most frequently encountered soft tissue malignant tumors,
it count five histological sub-types : well differentiated (WDL) , undifferentiated, myxoid, round cells, and pleomorphic.
Presentation of case:
We described the case of a 55-year-old female with no significant medical history , She had a non-painful mass on her right limb with progressive growth that hinders daily activities. The MRI showed a 7 x 3 cm large intramuscular mass in the anterolateral lodge, with a large fatty component. A free margin resection of the tumor was performed, and the involved muscles were preserved. The patient had a satisfactory postoperative outcome.
Discussion:
The prognosis  vary from well-differentiated forms, with low potential for distant metastasis, to undifferentiated and pleomorphic, which are more aggressive and present a worse prognosis
Conclusion:
The lesions are most often treated by surgical resection. Chemotherapy and radiation may be
added to the treatment of the more malignant variants with some success.
