            [0] => INTRODUCTION :
Post burn contractures of the hand and wrist are commonly seen worldwide in spite of the great advances in acute burn care.Reconstruction of the burned wrist is both a functional and aesthetic challenge especially for pediatric children.

CASE PRESENTATION :
A 4 year-old boy presented with 72 hours compartment syndrome secondary to a circumferential thermal burn of the forearm. The initial assessment noted an extended edema of the forearm with a fingertip necrosis. A fasciotomy was performed,in order to reduce the tissue damages, followed by hydro surgical debridement and skin grafting. At 2 months delay, the patient developed a wrist contracture associated to second and forth webspace contracture. Questioning revealed the non-appliance to splinting of the patient.
X ray did not reveal articular deformities.
 The surgical treatment consisted on the contracture release and the coverage by a dorsal ulnar perforator flap.
The webspace contractures were released using respectively Ostrowskiand Omega plasties.The donor site was grafted (split skin graft) at 8 days delay. No complications were reported.
CONCLUSION :
Compartment syndrome secondary to circumferential burns are frequent and impose urgent fasciotomy in order to avoid necrosis and major functional impairments. Splinting and physiotherapy are necessary especially in mobile skin areas. Skin contractures must be diagnosed and surgically treated using flaps due to their pliability.
